3. What are the operating conditions for an eBike with a Bosch motor? The Bosch motor on our bikes is designed to deliver reliable and long-lasting performance, provided it is used properly:

Recommendations:

  • Shifting: Shift gears without exerting maximum effort. Electric bikes combine the power of their motor with that of the rider, so it's important to ease off the pedal stroke when shifting gears on hills. Failure to do so risks breaking the chain, sprocket, or chainring, as well as causing the shifter to become loose. This can result in repair charges exceeding €500 for the customer (replacement of the shifter).

  • Derailleur: Our e-bikes are equipped with an impact mitigation device (PARRIER) for the derailleur, but this does not fully protect the derailleur. In the event of a severe impact, the derailleur may break. Therefore, it is recommended to take extra care on narrow trails with rocks that could hit the derailleur. This may result in repair charges exceeding €500 for the customer (gear replacement).

Our changes are hard but not unbreakable!

  • Electrical system: Keep the electrical system dry and avoid exposing it to heavy rain or submerging components. The bike is ONLY splash-resistant ( IP54 ); it is not completely waterproof or submersible. This may result in repair charges exceeding €1,000 (motor replacement).

  • Electrical System: It is recommended not to clean the bike during the rental unless absolutely necessary. If dirt prevents proper operation, clean with low-pressure water jets without using a pressure washer. It is important to partially dry electrical components such as charging ports, controls, the motor area, and the gearshift. This may result in repair charges exceeding €1,000 for the customer (engine replacement).

  • Electrical System: Always recharge the battery with the official chargers provided by Cinca Riders , always checking that the connections are completely dry and free of moisture. This may result in repair charges exceeding €1,000 for the customer (engine replacement).

  • Braking System: It is recommended to use the brakes rationally . The bike is equipped with high-power SRAM CODE R brakes, so special care must be taken when braking on slippery terrain. It is also important to consider that intensive use of the brakes can cause unusual wear on the components.

  • Frame: Special attention should be paid to impacts on the bicycle frame . Bicycles are protected against minor impacts with a protective sticker, but not against major impacts, so special care should be taken to avoid scratches.

Prohibitions

  • No components or configurations of the bike may be modified without prior notice to the Cinca Riders team. Charges will apply to restoring the bike to its original condition.
    • Do not modify the electrical system or use unauthorized accessories.
    • Avoid bumping or dropping the bike, as this could damage both the motor and the battery.
    • Do not exceed the indicated usage limits, such as loading excessively heavy objects on the frame or supports.

  • It is strictly prohibited to cross rivers, riverbeds, deep puddles, or any type of accumulated water with our e-bikes. Bicycle components in general (bearings, chains, brakes, hardware, etc.), and especially the electrical system, are not designed to ride through water. Therefore, if you encounter a water level higher than 15 cm (the height of the lower part of the motor), you must dismount the e-bike and carry it over the water.

Material delivered with the rental

  • Electric bicycle , which is delivered recently inspected and adjusted for the intended use: Weight adjustment, pedals and saddle height.
  • Emergency kit, consisting of a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube, basic Allen wrenches, chain cutter, replacement link, inflation pump, and chain oil.
  • Helmet and safety equipment.

4. How does the Trek Rail 9 work?

The Trek Rail 9 is a high-performance electric bike, ideal for demanding routes and long distances. These are its main features and operation:

  • SRAM GX AXS Electronic Shifting:
  • The shifter is connected to the ebike's battery , so if the ebike is not turned on or runs out of battery, the shifter will not work.
  • Regarding operation, we have a control/knob on the right side of the handlebar. This control has different buttons that allow us to make changes. (1) A button located at the bottom of the control will allow us to shift gears up to facilitate pedaling on steep slopes. (2) A button located at the top and another on the front of the control will allow us to shift gears down, to facilitate greater speed in areas with a slight slope.
  • We remind you that when making changes it is important not to have the chain under maximum tension, as this can cause components such as the chain or sprockets to break, and also cause the derailleur to become misaligned.

Bosch Performance CX Smart System Engine:

  • Delivers up to 85 Nm of torque for smooth, powerful pedal assistance.
  • It has different assistance modes:

    • Eco: This mode prioritizes battery saving, allowing you to travel longer distances, but in return it offers less assistance.
    • Tour+: This is the first of the smart modes that offers assistance based on bike usage. It's designed for everyday use, offering medium pedaling assistance and medium response agility.
    • eMTB: As in the previous case, this is another intelligent mode that adapts to riding conditions. In this case, it offers high assist and high agility. It's ideal for tackling technical trails and paths with steep slopes.
    • Turbo: This is the most powerful mode, where full pedaling power is provided with the quickest response.

  • LED Remote Control. The bike is equipped with the Bosch LED Remote Control with the following features:
    • Power LED (1).
    • Power button (2).
    • Battery indicator (3).
    • Minimum battery level indicator (4).
    • Assistance level indicator (5).
    • Selector button (7) (Not used on our ebikes)
    • Decrease assistance button (9)
    • Button to increase assistance (10)
    • Screen information change button (11) / (12) (Not used on our ebikes)

    5. What is the bail policy in special situations?

In certain cases, we require an additional deposit to ensure proper use of the bicycles and cover any incidents:

    • Weather alert: If weather conditions are adverse (heavy rain, storms, etc.).
    • Own transport: If you decide to transport the bike using your own means, we will require an additional deposit to cover possible damage during transport.
    • Rentals lasting several consecutive days: For long-term rentals, the security deposit will cover additional wear and tear and guarantee subsequent preventative maintenance.
    • Other cases: In exceptional situations, we will assess the need for a bond based on the context.

The deposit will be fully refunded if the bicycle is returned in the same condition as it was delivered. The deadline for the refund of the deposit is 72 hours after the return of the e-bikes.

    6. Post-Day Bicycle Use Checklist

At the end of your day of use, we recommend performing the following checks to ensure the bike is in good condition and prolong its useful life:

    1. Check the wheel axles: Make sure the axles are properly adjusted and free of play. On the Trek Rail 9 bike model, it's common for the wheel axles, especially the rear one, to loosen under intensive use.

    2. Chain lubrication: If the chain is dry or has accumulated dirt, apply a specific bicycle lubricant that will be provided in the Cinca Riders emergency kit.

    3. General cleaning: If the bike is very dirty, perform a basic cleaning with water, avoiding jets of water on the electrical components as specified in the previous sections, and avoiding the use of pressure washers. Once clean, dry the electrical components, such as the charging port area, motor, gear shift, and controls, using a cloth or air.

    4. Check tire pressure: Check that the tires have the correct pressure: 1.9 Bar and 2.2 Bar.

    5. Brake Check: Check the brake pads for excessive wear and make sure the brake discs are not bent or damaged.

    6. Chain condition: Inspect the chain for damage, such as bent or unevenly worn links.

    7. Checking the bolts: If you have detected any looseness, check that the main bolts (handlebars, stem, pedals, cranks and saddle) are tight and do not show any looseness.

    8. Suspension condition: Check that the suspensions (front and rear) do not have oil leaks or excessive dirt buildup.

    9. Electronic Shifting Check: Make sure the SRAM GX AXS shifting is working properly and that the gears engage smoothly.

    10. Tire Condition: Examine tires for cuts, uneven wear, or embedded objects (such as stones or thorns).

    11. Frame Condition: Inspect the frame for cracks, dents, or visible damage that may have occurred during the day.

    12. Cleaning the pedals: If you use automatic pedals, clean the attachment areas to avoid mud or dirt buildup that could make them difficult to use.

Keeping these points under control not only helps ensure your safety, but also the proper functioning of your bike for future rides. If you detect any problems, please notify us immediately at the support number indicated in point 2 so we can provide assistance. Thank you for your cooperation!

      7. What should I do if I need to cancel or modify my reservation?
